Światowa Organizacja Zdrowia bierze pod uwagę zmianę nazwy "małpiej ospy". To za sprawą apelu 30 naukowców, którzy uważają, że nawiązywanie do afrykańskich korzeni wirusa nie tylko jest niedokładne, ale też "dyskryminuje i stygmatyzuje".
Określenie "małpia ospa" dyskryminuje, ale na nietoperze można było napieprzać przez dwa lata. I co teraz taki nietoperz sobie pomyśli? Że byle szympans lepszy od niego?
