Shadow of the Erdtree's Major 1.14 Boss Nerf patch notes and mixed reactions from players to the updated boss fight.

Recently, Fromsoftware released a patch for their game Elden Ring: Shadow of the Elder Tree Lord 1.14, the content of which is as follows:
Changed the action pattern when the battle starts
Adjusted some attack moves.
Decreased the damage of some attacks
Decreased stamina damage of some attacks
Decreased the attack range of some non-weapon-based attacks
Improved the visibility of some attack effects

This patch aims to weaken the final boss of the DLC, Promised Consort Radahn, and improve the player experience. Therefore, through these patches, the battle between players and Radahn is easier, such as weakening the large-scale light effects in phase two; consolidating the position of shield-focused in the DLC; or encouraging players to use more combat methods to defeat Radahn through weakening.

In Elden Ring, when you encounter an unbeatable boss, you can get more Eledn Ring Items to strengthen yourself, but in the DLC, the usefulness of Eledn Ring Items is greatly weakened. You must get Scadutree Fragment to strengthen yourself, and it is not easy to get Scadutree Fragment. Therefore, this weakening is good news for players.

However, along with the weakening, there are also criticisms from some old players. They think that the battle in the final boss should be impressive, so there is no need for any weakening; some players also think that the battle difficulty of the first version of Radahn is not too great. As long as you fight repeatedly, you can quickly accumulate combat experience and defeat Radahn. These weakenings undoubtedly make Radahn's oppression greatly reduced.

Since the release of Elden ring, countless players have found their own adventure stories in this game, and most of the players have given good reviews. But this situation took a sharp turn for the worse until the DLC. The difficulty of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Elder Tree Lord is a bit too high for most players who have not played Dark Soul.

For players, following Miquella's story should have a grand ending, and Radahn's appearance is a surprise. This kind of surprise can be accompanied by some difficulty to make players impressed, but too high a difficulty will make players bored, even Fromsoftware fans will be so, so this nerf may be the right choice.
